Eve Pearson | MBA, RDN, LD
Eve Pearson is the owner of Nutriworks, Inc. She believes if you’re active, you’re an athlete! In 2020, she released her first book, “Sports Nutrition Rulebook for Runners” and will continue to publish a rulebook for each sport.
Some of the organizations and teams Eve consults or has consulted for are: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Programs (TNT), YMCA, Michael Johnson Performance, Integrated Athletic Development, Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas, Instinct Volleyball Club, Southern Methodist University’s Women’s Track and Cross Country, Soccer, Tennis and Rowing teams, as well as many triathlon and running clubs. She has also consulted for several individual athletes from the Nike Oregon Project, the National Football League (NFL) and Olympians from 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Eve is frequently quoted in print and online media as a nutrition expert.
A native of Texas, Eve has resided in the DFW Metroplex since 1999. She became active in sports at a very young age competing as a gymnast and cheerleader. She also played soccer for a short time at age seven and softball in high school. After cheering at Texas Christian University, Eve did triathlon for five years and finished with Ironman Brazil in 2006. Since then, she qualified for and ran Boston Marathon twice (2013, 2014) and ran several ultra marathons, including Nueces 50 miler. From 2014-2016, Eve raced in the TMBRA (Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association) circuit and did several ultra mountain bike races. In 2019, she finished Leadville 100 mountain bike race and turned around and ran 100 miles in New Mexico a few weeks later.
Eve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Coordinated Dietetics from Texas Christian University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas. On a personal note, Eve truly loves her job and the rewards it brings. She provides the resources so her clients can accomplish anything they’re ready to. Although growing the business is where she spends most of her “extra” time these days, Eve enjoys traveling, hiking and rockclimbing when she gets a break.
Bethany Villarreal | MS, RDN, LD, CSCS
Bethany Villarreal joined the Nutriworks team in 2012 as an intern before becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). She understands the natural synergy of sports nutrition, exercise, and health to promote performance for athletes of all levels.
In addition to working with our clients online, Bethany is a dietitian for the Department of Defense. In the past, she also consulted with Texas A&M’s FitLife program and local fire and police departments.
Born and raised near Houston, Texas, she began her 11 years of competitive swimming with U.S.A. Swimming club teams. As a college student, Bethany continued to compete as a member of the Texas A&M Triathlon team. She has since raced the BCS Marathon and the Chevron Houston Marathon, 15 half marathons, and continues to run and weight train.
Bethany is a Fightin’ Texas Aggie, having earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science and Master of Science in Kinesiology at Texas A&M University, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She is professionally associated with several organizations including Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN), all of which continue to develop her knowledge of the relationship between athletics and sports nutrition.
Bethany spends most of her free time outdoors, hiking and backpacking through national and state parks. She loves animals, having two cats, two dogs, two lizards, and 1 one snake and enjoys paddle boarding, motorcycling, and cheering on Texas A&M sports and the Houston Astros.
Maria Herr | MS, RDN, CSSD, LD
Maria Herr is one of the dietitians at Nutriworks, Inc and has been at the company since 2017. She is currently our Dallas nutritionist, one of our virtual nutritionists, and works with our Spanish-speaking clients!
Outside of working with athletes through Nutriworks, Inc., Maria is an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Texas Christian University (TCU) and a consulting dietitian for several of SMU’s sports, including the Track and Cross Country, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball teams. In the past, she has also worked with players training for the National Football League (NFL) combine, National Soccer League FC Dallas soccer players, and other individual youth and adult athletes in a wide range of sports.
She was raised in Dallas, TX and has been active for most of her life. She was a ballerina for ten years and soccer player for six. Upon entering high school, she joined her school’s varsity cross country and track teams and competed during all four years. After high school, she continued running and has since completed the Cowtown Marathon and many half marathons. She plans to continue running long-distance races and also enjoys hot yoga and indoor cycling.
Maria received her Bachelor of Science degree in the Didactic Program of Dietetics from Texas Christian University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and went on to complete her dietetic internship and Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University, receiving a nomination for The Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (TAND)’s Outstanding Dietetics Student Award.
As someone heavily involved in physical activity, Maria has always been interested in sports nutrition and believes that proper fueling with a nutrient-dense, balanced, and properly-timed diet is vital for peak performance. She hopes to continue helping athletes and active individuals of all backgrounds successfully achieve this!
Hannah DeCinti
Hannah DeCinti is the newest member of the Nutriworks, Inc. team. She discovered just how important sports nutrition is through her personal experience as a former collegiate athlete and continues to recognize it as a critical component of her own life and as well as others daily. She loves supporting our clients through her administrative role.
Hannah was born and raised in Lemoyne, PA and is currently living in Washington, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh, with her husband. Hannah was a competitive soccer player growing up and continued her athletic career at Greensboro College before transferring to East Carolina University (ECU) where she played Club.
Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics through ECU in December 2020. She then went on to complete her dietetic internship through Sodexo where she was exposed to various nutrition specialties. She now works as a virtual assistant for dietitians and has continued to stay active by running and being a member of OrangeTheory. Hannah hopes to be able to run a half marathon and marathon in the future.
In Hannah’s free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family, traveling, hanging with friends, and going on walks with her two golden retrievers. You can also always find her listening to country music.
